Bhutan mountain biking getting very popular by Rio Andino
This last fall season was a very rather busy months in Bhutan as a result of two reasons. First it was the King’s wedding and second the tour prices increasing January 1, 2012.
Bhutan King’s wedding produced particular difficulties for tour operators getting confirmations from lodges and hotels particularly in Punakha and Wangdue in which the wedding day visitors needed to be lodged and the local hotels required to cater to them ahead of the tourists.
The burden on lodgings and amplified amount of vacationers caused some ripple effect as more tourists were booked in places like Bumthang. But Bumthang added new rooms, for example Dendupling Guest House.
In any case as growing demand in Bumthang has undoubtedly elevated particularly at these times of the season, the standard of accommodations in Bhutan has been progressively growing as since about couple of years ago when the government consented to approve only accommodations that will meet their standard of 3-star minimum.
